Q: Will it pump Gasoline without leaking

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! Yes, the GPI Manual Lever Action Hand Pump is UL Listed and specifically engineered to pump gasoline safely without leaking. Its heavy-duty aluminum body and fuel-resistant Buna-N seals prevent degradation, though you must use a gasoline-rated yellow thread tape during installation to guarantee a leak-free seal.

Q: Can this pump removed after each use due to tonneau cover on truck bed

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! Yes, you can easily remove the GPI hand pump after each use by simply unscrewing its 2-inch NPT locking collar by hand without using any tools. Taking the pump off allows your low-profile fuel tank bung to sit well below the bed rails so your tonneau cover can close perfectly. Just be sure to have a bag or storage bin handy when you pull it out, as the attached suction pipe will lift out with the pump and may drip a little leftover fluid.

Q: I have this hand pump and cannot get it to prime. What do I do?

1 Answer
  • AI-generated
A: If you are experiencing priming issues, ensure you are not using an inline filter, as these pumps do not generate enough pressure to work properly with one. You should also check the front seal for tightness, as it may require a small adjustment to ensure a proper seal.

Q: Can I add a filter inline or will it be to difficult to pump if I do?

1 Answer
  • GPI Inside Sales
A: We do not recommend using a filter on the hand pumps because they do not generate a high amount of pressure, so yes it could become difficult to pump but also result in priming issues. If you must have some type of filter on the outlet we would recommend using an in-line strainer instead. If you have any questions please give us a call!

Q: Will this pump thru a  Cim  tek filter that you sale ?

1 Answer
  • GPI Inside Sales
A: I'm sorry but without specifications on that filter I cannot answer your question; however, we do not recommend the use of filters on our hand pumps because they do not put out enough pressure to work properly. I would advise using an inline strainer if you need something to filter out debris.
