The Genesis 42 gal. Dual Composting Tumbler overcomes the drawbacks of having to wait 2-months to 3-months for compost to mature by allowing 1 chamber to be filled while the other is curing. Features of the new composting tumbler include 2 sliding doors for easy access, built-in mixing rods for faster composting, multiple ventilation ports and a powder coated metal frame. Made with durable, UV resistant plastic to last a very long time. The rodent proof design of the composting tumbler makes sure that no rodent can make its way in.1 year limited warranty

- A: We bought the composter last year and have used regularly filling both sides completely with a varying mix of raw and dead material to the point it’s heavy for my wife to spin. Amazingly, after only a few days the contents had broken down substantially and we could add more material. Works best if balanced and a mix of dead and raw material.5 years agoHelpful?

Very good unit, incomplete instructions

The composter is very well built, easy to rotate and already starting to "cook" in N.E. Ohio in March. The only reasons for not rating it five stars are the deficient instructions for assembly and the unnecessarily small screws used to connect the parts.
All the outer panels fit together tightly and form a good seal. Spent almost 45 minutes trying to do the same with the center divider panel, but could not get the correct alignment. Then found a video on-line that indicated it was supposed to be loose with small openings between the two sides. Would have been very beneficial to have that it in the provided instructions.

Poorly designed and manufactured. Molded ABS side panels were deformed. Reinforcing ribs were too close to the bolt holes making it difficult for someone with larger hands to bolt the pieces together. When assembled, the side panels and middle divider were not designed properly resulting in large open gaps.

Genesis Compost Bin

This is a well made compost bin. After the first two pieces are attached to the ends it is easy to put together. All the holes for the machine bolts are clean and easy to put the bolts in. The pieces line up correctly and didn't need to be modified to assemble it. The legs are designed where water won't run down in them. The tracks for the doors are tight to keep them in place but you don't have to struggle to get them open. All in all a nicely designed product.
