Q: Will this handle a 14ft metal gate, or should we get two sets?

- A: A single set (which includes upper and lower hinges) is designed for a standard installation and should technically work. However, given the length of a 14ft gate, purchasing two sets to install three hinges will provide greater support and durability, which is a common practice for wider/taller gates6 months agoHelpful?
Q: I already have a wood gate with a 3/4 hinge pin loop. What size is the pin, 5/8 or 3/4. Or does it matter? Will a 3/4 loop be wobbly on a 5/8 pin if it’s 5/8? I’ll only use the screw in side of the kit in my situation.

- A: The gate hinge in question will work with any gate that is constructed out of round tube that has an 1-5/8” – 1-3/4” diameter. The mounting pins for the gate need to be mounted in a wooden post similar to the image below.5 years agoHelpful?
