Q: Do you have to put 30 gallons in the first time to get the syphon pump to start pumping gas? First time I put 5 gallons in to make sure it would work before filling it up with 30 gallons. It won't pump gas out

- A: This unit is made for a shop setting. Meaning it is made to extract fuel from a vehicles fuel tank. Then to be put back in. This is not approved to be transported over any road.5 years agoHelpful?

Q: Can you safely fill this up in the back of a pickup truck, or does it need to be on the ground?

- A: The GG-30GC is designed to be used in a shop setting to fuel or extract fuel from vehicles. This is OSHA approved for a shop and not DOT approved for transporting in the back of a truck. Our Poly or plastic units GG-25PFC is safe to fill in the back of a truck and transport. There is also an optional pump kit for that unit GG-PRK13 that you can use to pump or extract fuel from anything. I think that is the route you would like to go. The steel unit with 30 gallons of fuel is also very heavy to move in and out of a truck bed.6 years agoHelpful?
