Good for the price

I bought this and used it to pack in winter rye (practice for the “real” job next spring). Ordered online and it was delivered to my home in less than a week. Assembly of the stands and 3-PT was straightforward. It weighs 500#, not 600# that TSC lists in the specks. Worked as expected. Negatives: not as heavy as advertised, the storage stands lock in the “up” position with a pin, but don’t lock when they’re holding up the weight of the implement. That seems a little dangerous to me. My only other gripe is that I couldn’t order it at the TSC store and the website can’t process tax exempt status, so I ended up paying extra $ in sales tax that I didn’t owe. That needs to be fixed.

It works But

The package arrived. I uncrated it to find much of the hardware laying loose in the box. I was able to find most of the loose nuts and bolts with the exception of one Nut. The hardware is metric so I did not have a nut laying around to fit the bolt. I replaced the bolt with one I had that will work. The zert fittings also appeared to be equipped with plastic covers to protect the zerts from dirt (nice idea). Unfortunately they only put a cover on one side. The unit is equipped with two fold up stands for parking the equipment. The stands are suppose to be held up by use of pins provided. Only problem is the holes for the pins are miss drilled so you can not use them. Drilling the holes out will make a bad fit on the pins and if your particular leave bare metal to rust. Then you need to add another approximately $-- to the cost as the unit does not have any pins for the lower arms or top link. I will have to decide how I want to secure the stands. With an oversized hole for their pins or maybe a bungie cord. Another expense not noted when you buy. Let me end by saying none of this surprise me. It seems the details are of no importance to anyone anymore as long as they got your money. As far as recommend they need a maybe button. Since they do not I will check NO. they say i mentioned the price so they would not post. i never mentioned the price except for extras i had to buy. took that out lets see if they are hiding reviews they do not like

Great product. Easy transaction.

Bought and used this culti-packer on 3 food plots in late summer this year and am very pleased with the difference it has made. At 500 lbs. it compacted the soil nicely after being tilled, no added weight was needed. Assembly was easy and it is engineered very well, no parts were missing and there was no damage from shipping. Received notification from TSC that item was delivered to store and was ready for pickup in less than a week from date of purchase , no problems.

Missing parts

Biggest complaint is the product did not arrive with all the hardware to assemble the Cultipacker. The packaging was in good shape so the manufacturer failed to include all the parts. I had to go to the hardware store to get the additional parts. Second complaint is the bearing grease zerts are poorly located and will come into contact with the ground. Tip: Retighten all the bolts and Allen keyed bolts within the first hour of operation. May want to consider using lock tight on the Allen keyed bolts on the shaft.

Seems solid. Bought the two pins needed after reading the reviews. Easy to assemble and should do what I need done.

Terrible product

Absolutely do not buy. Complete waste of money. Buy a drag harrow instead. It is not heavy enough even after adding sacks of concrete on it. It leaves way too many seeds on top of the ground. I will be buying a drag harrow soon and be letting this thing rust away.

No, I do not recommend this product.
