Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well I bought this for my wife’s growing garden. Seems well built. Already used it several times and seems to work really well so far behind a 50hp tractor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke in just 6 days Main shaft broke where two sides were welded in middle. Store manager, Rickie, said that I had abused it. Unit has override clutch which should prevent damage to shaft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tiller for medium duty. Good tiller for price. Can be forward or reverse, but switching means taking the gearbox off and flipping upside down - not something you would want to do often. The one I bought was made by Tarter, and identical to the one at southern states and elsewhere. Run it for about an hour so far, works well for the type of usage we have - bed prep for permanent beds on plowed soil, or bed turning prior to a bedder mulcher.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The tiller is great but buyer beware of online I bought the tiller and picked it up today. I purchased it online to pickup in the store. When I got there it was rusted through. I had my kid so I couldn’t argue about the condition. They gave me some paint so I felt okay about it. I then had to go to a different TSC to get other items. They had two mint condition tillers there. They wouldn’t exchange the rusted destroyed one I picked up at the first one. When I pay {redacted by TSC} for something new I expect it to be new. I have bought rusted new implements before but this one looked used. When I got t home the paint fell off the support brackets. I painted it with the free rustolium heavy rust paint, and then a coat of cat yellow. It looks new now. Used it to make a small arena. It went up against large rocks under the dirt and did NOT fail. So in conclusion, 1 star for condition, and I will not be purchasing online again, 5 stars for the tiller because even in horrible condition, this thing worked great.

5 thru 7 foot tillers all say they work with 25 to 50 HP tractors. Is this PTO HP or engine HP? Will a 7 foot really work with a 25 HP tractor?

Asked by: Rod S
No, the 7 Foot tiller really needs 45-50 HP.
