After a couple of days' use, unit works as it should and then some! Grinds up soil pretty well. We've had a dry summer and soil is like concete. Although I needed to make several passes, it gets the job done. Kicks out stones so there's no problem with that. I would advise brush-hogging tall grass a couple of times since the longer stuff can wind around the spindle/axle. We'll see how long it holds up over the years. Now the bad news: Since the unit is stored outside at Tractor Supply, all the hardware was rusted and corroded. It all needed to be wire brushed before use. The right hand grease fitting was corroded shut, had to be removed, cleaned, and freed up. One of the top link braces was bent at the bottom. Needed to be pryed to fit. The top braces for the top link braces did not fit well enough to use the bolts included. Had to use longer bolts to draw it into place. The small manual for the PTO was water-logged and barely useable. If the unit is to be stored outside at the store, the hardware etc. should be hermetically sealed to avoid these issues. Had I not had it off loaded and somewhat assembled I would have returned it. Took about three times the amount of time to assemble.
