Had a spot in my yard, had a tree taken out, that I needed to seed. Did not need a bale of straw, just enough to use in spot areas, to grow grass. This product is easy to use, has an actual handle to carry the container of straw, can be resealed for future use. It does not have all the bugs and mess with the real stuff. It's easy to spread by hand for those small areas to get grass growing. Senior friendly!

I would not use this as mulch in your vegetable garden I did this with my peas my tomatoes and my potatoes I now have more grass growing in these containers than I do of my veggies The whole pots are just covered in grass and grass seeds I cannot seem to get all of the seed out no matter what I do I will never ever by this again

Works great as ground cover for a garden, keeps the weeds out and adds compost to your soil

This straw mulch is amazing and I wish I would have found this in the spring when I started my garden. It has really protected my fruit and vegetables from all of the heat & rain we have gotten this summer. It has also sped up the germination time on new vegetables I am trying to grow. A little goes a long way. I am still on my first bag.
