- A: Hello, Thank you for your question. This should not affect the operational performance of the pump. This model (#EFLS15) uses a 1-1/2 horsepower motor to pump water. Please refer to page 7 in the user manual to view a performance chart in GPM for this model. Be sure the motor’s current is set to match the current being supplied to your motor from the electrical source. - A: Ted Ford, This pump can not be left full of water before a freeze as the pump case will more than likely crack. It is best to drain before freezing temperatures. However, as far as "cold water" goes, of course not frozen, this pump will be able to handle cold water. This motor seems to do the job. Biggest concern I have is that the cover gets very hot when running. I called ecoflo to make sure there were not any problems. They told me that the motor does run hot.
Yes, I recommend this product.
