Horse Mineral/Vitamin Block

This horse block is not meant to be left out unattended. They love the taste, & will eat the whole thing up. My vet told me it is meant to be left out & they will eat only what they need. This is not true. It needs to be monitored, or you will have a sick horse on hand. My horses love this mineral/vitamin block. We chop off two small cookie sizes each feeding to give after their pellets. My horses get it twice a day. They love it. All we have to say is "are you ready for your cookie," & they turn their heads & wait for it. My horses have hay 24/7 & are fed a small amount of pellets & a few supplements twice a day. They are not starving, & if I were to leave the Dumor horse block out, they would eat the whole block in one day! Needs to be monitored! Wish it could be left out alone, but just too tasty for my horses! I actually don't mind feeding it this way. I know exactly how much they are eating a day.

Don’t!!!

My horses camped on it. Didnt lick it, just took bite after bite until it was gone. Cant be very healthy, luckily i had 6 horses so it wasnt consumed by just one.

Three horses ate the entire 33 pound block in three days. I looked at the ingredients and it contains molasses. They ate it like candy. I will not be buying another.

This is the only supplement block I give my horses. Because we live in an area with high selineum levels in the soil it is hard to find anything with low selineum levels. I am so glad I have a supplement I can give the horses when the hay quality isn’t as good as I would like it to be. Since I live 150 miles from the closest TSC I was very happy I could get on a plan to have it shipped to my farm. Wonderful. And yes my horses love it.
