Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mineral Choice My cousin feeds this to her horses and recommended it. I got one and it has only lasted a week with my 3 horses, they LOVE IT!!! Because of winter, vitamin and minerals are less available through roughage and hay, which is why I believe they have gone through the first one so quickly. Horses crave when they are depleted of nutrients, just like people. I'm going to buy 2 or order and pick up in store. I love seeing my horses healthy and happy. This will now be added for them for free choice.

Is this ok for a dairy cow. I only have one

Asked by: Ozark american
There isn't anything in this product that would harm cattle. However, there is copper in this product so if you also have sheep, make sure the sheep DO NOT eat this product.

How much of this product should the horse get on a daily basis?  I give to my horses every morning for about 15-20 minutes.

Asked by: Joe 1968
The feed tags read that horses should get 0.5-1.5 lbs/head/day of this product. Normally if the horses are out on pasture or in a pen then it’s fine to leave the tub out for them to consume free choice. If horses are in a stall all day, they will get bored and consume more of it than recommended. In that case, taking the tub away is the smarter move.
