We had never heard of this stuff before an acquaintance of my wife suggested it. Two of our hens never recovered their feathers after last year’s hard molt. Yup, over a year. No signs of illness or parasites, and they otherwise seemed as healthy and happy as the rest of the flock. So this lady suggested putting some of this unpronounceable earth in their food. Well, it has only been a week or so, but feathers are definitely growing back. I guess we will be keeping some of this stuff on hand from now on.

I underestimated this product tremendously! My problem started with ants wanting to take over my chicken run that is outside of my coop. Daily, I would battle them not getting in their food but attacking any insect that made its way into the run. Especially when earthworms would surface. I started using this product to deter the ants but I decided to try to find where they were coming from. The ant bed outside the run was very active so I used the DE on the actual bed. The next morning, there was nothing but dead ants left. They were in piles! I couldn’t believe that this product would have such an effect on an entire ant bed. I make sure I have this available at all times and became a staple for my chicken run. Highly recommended!

I have followed the direction on the product and it has greatly decreased the amount of fleas. I have to use it every few days and vacuum daily. It is slowly removing the pests
