- A: Yes, DeGroot Yukon Gold seed potatoes are conventionally grown. If you are looking for potatoes completely free of synthetic pesticides, look for "Certified Organic" seed potatoes. If you plant these conventional seed potatoes but use organic methods in your own garden, the new potatoes you harvest will be organic from that point forward.a month agoHelpful?

Q: Hi! Is it too late to plant them, mid June? I've just been gifted 10 gallons potato grow bags. Also, which type of soil should I use? I typically use 40pct perlite in containers.

NOT 'guaranteed to grow'

Why is there not a "0" star option? Totally dissatisfied with Tractor Supply Company selling them AND DeGroot. "Guaranteed to grow" is absolutely dishonest advertising!! A 4 lb bag sold at TSC for $7.99 ($8.55 with tax). 3 LARGE potatoes with 1 or 2 eyes; 2 medium size 1 eye each; 10 SMALL with 1 eye each and 7 with NOTHING. NO 'customer service'! All ya get is a recording with NO response. I'll just leave a complaint with the Mississippi BBB and have them deal with it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Not worth the time to grow

Not our first time growing potatoes. When dug up there were only a few tiny baby potatoes.

Online Inventories Completely Wrong :(

I was excited to see that our local store (in Nevada) was carrying plenty of these and other gardening seeds and tubers since we can get a full season in starting NOW with harvests. Despite showing 9 bags available at the store - there was not a single one!
