Blue potatoes will hold their color when cooked and are a delicious addition to salads and potato cakes. Plant in early spring in a sunny location. Water weekly through warm summer weather but do not over water. Guaranteed to Grow: Product must be purchased before June 1st. Sales receipt and UPC required. Q: What is the approximate yield of a 3lb bag of blue potatoes? Also can I split the potatoes around the eyes to get more plants or does this variety not grow similarly to others?

1 Answer
  • A: There are many variables that can impact yield, but on average on average the yield is approximately 10 +/ - lbs per lb. If the potato has multiple eyes, it may be cut into smaller pieces.

Beautiful Potato!

First time growing potatoes, planted them out according to the bag at beginning of April (zone 6). Its currently June 4 and the growth is amazing! The plants have grown to over 2 feet high and have started to flower. I'm super excited to harvest these in the next month or so, hoping to store them in my cellar but I just might harvest a few new potatoes here soon because I'm super excited.

Maggots and half rotten potatoes

Opened the bag, down to about a third of their size and over half had rotted with maggots. Stop scrolling out of them about 4 to 6 in with little roots growing into each other so I think they were feeding off each other so I had to plant the whole mass in one hole so hopefully I will get one plant out of it. Definitely not appetizing so I put them in a flower bed because I will not be eating anything that had maggots on it

Love them!

5 years ago I bought and I yielded almost exactly 40lbs of potatoes from 1 3lb bag! Great taste, color and texture. The next year I bought another bag and harvested ~35lbs. After that I saved some, store in a cardboard box in the basement over winter, plant and have free potatoes every year. Great value at tractor supply!

AWESOME seed potatoes

These had so many eyes sprouted when I opened the bag! I planted late in the season, but 2 weeks after planting, I have several shoots breaking through the soil and showing the leaves! I'm excited to see the harvest I get on them!

Rotten and reeking

Rotting and reeking. Attempted to return but told me I couldn't. Manager later said that was wrong but I can't make that trip again anytime soon. Wasted money.

No, I do not recommend this product.
