Very slow growing

Slow growing in planters. The cheap onion sets, which were half the price from the local counry store, grew 3 times faster than Degroot. Most of them are still not showing greens. Are these southern onions that require much warmer weather?

Dear Tommy, thank you for purchasing DeGroot onions. We're sorry to hear that your Cipollini onions have not grown greens yet. This onion is a moderate grower and prefers full sun. If it's planted in an area with a bit of shade or your region has had cooler weather, it may take a bit longer for it to show growth. They can take approximately 90-120 days to reach maturity.
