Very slow growing

Slow growing in planters. The cheap onion sets, which were half the price from the local counry store, grew 3 times faster than Degroot. Most of them are still not showing greens. Are these southern onions that require much warmer weather?

If it's planted in an area with a bit of shade or your region has had cooler weather, it may take a bit longer for it to show growth. They can take approximately 90-120 days to reach maturity.
