Loganberry bears large, deep wine-red berries that are a cross between a blackberry and a red raspberry. They are easy to grow and vigorous growers. They are delicious in preserves, syrup, and desserts. Loganberry is a dormant plant selected by DeGroot, offering you the opportunity to get a head start to the season! Due to its dormant state, this plant may lack foliage until it is planted. There is no need to wait until after frost, this may be planted as soon as the ground is workable. This early planting prevents transplant shock and allows it more time to develop its root system. If your plant does have foliage, provide protection from frost. Depending on the climate and weather experienced after planting, this plant could take up to 4-6 weeks to break dormancy and show signs of growth.Guaranteed to Grow* Product must be purchased before June 1st. Sales receipt and UPC required. For refund, please go to: https://retail.degroot-inc.com/guarantee.

    Not worth the trouble

Last spring(2021) I bought 4 boxes of strawberries, 2 boxes of pine berries and 2 Logan berries. I read the box and I understood that the plants were dormant. When I was planting the pine berries I could tell they were dead but I planted just to see if I was wrong. None of the pine berries ever sprouted. Maybe 25% of the strawberries sprouted. One loganberry was dead and the other one lived. I can’t speak on any of their other products but I wouldn’t waste my time and money on their products anymore. Perhaps Degroot needs to improve their packaging? Idk, but after my experience and after reading the reviews, it’s obvious something needs to be improved. The pretty pictures on the box won’t fool me again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Our product is dormant, packaged bare root plants intended to be without foliage (leaves) while in the store. Dormant plants such as these offer the opportunity to jumpstart spring planting because they can be planted in the ground earlier than potted plants. Depending on the climate and weather experienced after planting, this plant could take up to 4-6 weeks to break dormancy and show signs of growth. At DeGroot, we strive to provide high quality plants that have high success rates for the home gardener at fair and reasonable prices. In the rare instance you do not have success with one of our products, we encourage you to contact us at (269) 468-6714 or [email protected] so we may assist you. Thank you, DeGroot Inc. DeGroot

Bought Two, One's Not Totally Dead

So I bought two of these for pollination and yield and one did absolutely nothing. The second one the actual stick that I thought was going to grow was dried up and dead but it's sending out little sprouts from the soil. So, I'm going to baby the one that's alive and hope for the best! I had to request the refund for the second one. I should've gotten some blueberries or something, they had leaves in the store but I just wanted these!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Like many other reviews, mine never sprouted a single leaf. Going to take it back tomorrow given it says a one year guarantee on the package which i kept my receipt thankfully. Will update accordingly.
