Cuisinart Stainless Steel Custom Classic Toaster Oven Broiler, Stainless

I've been using my Custom Classic Toaster Oven for about three weeks. I like it very much. It's well built, performs well, is easy to use and at 1800 watts is more powerful than my microwave oven. I like the simple analog control knobs. Not that I'm tech averse but I find them easier to use than a single multifunction touch screen. I've toasted breads and bagels, baked (roasted) meats and veggies and broiled meats. What I like most is not having to use my full size oven to roast or broil a single portion of some food item. Some reviews that I read before my purchase complained about the raised pointer rib on the knobs being hard to see. I solved that with a paint marker from an art supply shop. Other reviews pointed out the lack of a timer. But with timer functions on my watch, phone, microwave oven and full size range I'm not lacking for timing devices. One issue I didn't find in other reviews was the instruction booklet entry for toasting bagels. It's the same as the entry for toasting bread. From what I've read online the correct procedure is to toast bagels cut side up because the upper heating elements get hotter or run longer than the lower elements in the Bagel cycle. All told I'm more than satisfied with my Custom Classic Toaster Oven.

Works as expected. It is OK. Would be great if there is a timer.

We've had this toaster oven for 10 weeks. Baking and broiling functions are fine; it heats up quite quickly. However, toasting is a challenge. The level of toastiness is inconsistent, regardless of how where we have the indicator. Also, just this week we noticed that the finish is starting to chip off the baking/broiling tray. This appliance does not meet the standards to which I've become accustomed from Cuisinart.

It certainly is a pleasure to use the Cuisinart Toaster Oven Broiler. This is an upgrade from the one I replaced including the 1800 watt, which I didn't have before. So far, all the food I've cooked in this oven was perfect. All of the features have easy to use dials, it quickly preheats, comes with broiler pan and rack, has a brushed stainless steel finish, a non-stick interior, and an easy clean crumb tray. I really like the "Even Shade Control" which monitors the toasting temperature. Very satisfied with my purchase.
