Descale is difficult

I bought this more than a year ago. I like everything about it except the Descale feature. I'm instructed to press the Hot Water and Rinse buttons at the same time. I am successful with that about one in 10 attempts. Is there a trick to making that happen? It is VERY frustrating!

For better success, we recommend pressing both the Hot Water and Rinse buttons at the same time with firm, even pressure and ensuring the control panel is clean and dry, as responsiveness can be affected by moisture. I purchased this to replace my old coffee pot. I love the single serve aspect and the easy clean up every morning before I leave for work. I love the ease of cleaning the water tank and ease of changing a filter every couple of months.

The four ounce setting makes a very good cup of coffee. Not quite as good as freshly ground beans and a drip coffee maker, but I appreciate the convenience.
