My husband bought this mower just a few months ago and we have had problems from the beginning. The battery was bad. The retailer we purchased it from traded the original battery for another one. Same problem. Still would not run properly. My husband has since passed away and I am stuck with a new mower that doesn’t run. It makes me sick to know that I still owe money on a useless mower that has been nothing but problems from the start. Take my advice and do not buy a Cub Cadet. You may be getting a lemon.

XT1 LT42B Just Right - Almost

Cub Cadet XT1 LT42B mower has useful features and works exactly as advertised. There are no unnecessary extras to add costly repair. This is the first hydrostatic drive I've used and it easily controls speed and direction with the foot pedals.
My only disappointment is that the cruise control must be reset every time you touch the brake to slow or stop - there is no "resume" setting - so it doesn't help with smaller sections of lawn.
