CountyLine RTFK4CL Poorly stored and cared for!

Let me start by saying this review is not so much about the tiller as it is about how TSC stores and cares for its products. I purchased a CountyLine RTFK4CL from a TSC store that had it in stock. What I saw looked in good shape a little rust here and there. I could not get a good look at the bagged components, or the PTO drive line tie wrapped under the tiller. The tiller door had some weld interference preventing it from opening fully but I figured no big deal to fix. I paid one of their employees to deliver it to my house (he was great). After uncrating it I wished I had a way to return it. The slip clutch on PTO drive is so rusted I doubt it can be adjusted. The tractor end the spring pin is also so rusted it could not be depressed, I finally got it working after spraying with penetrating oil. The bagged components were all filled with water. I am so disappointed it looks like I bought a used tiller. Pictures were taken after clean up by spraying WD-40 and wiping, also after tilling a few rows to see if it even worked. Not allowing me to post pics?

My first tiller; still learning

Hard to get off the shipping rack with no forklift. Cutting the pto shaft was required. The online specifications said 6 flanges and 36 tines. There was 6 flanges and 24 tines. Tailgate chain mount had a bolt too long and stopped the tiller from turning. Removed the bolt and so far tiller operates fine. Too wet and cold to do the big jobs just yet. Waiting for spring to put it to the test.

This tiller was the perfect addition to my farm equipment. It performed exactly as expected and made very short work of what is normally a tedious job. The unit I purchased is a 4' tiller to fit on my Massey Ferguson compact and the tractor handled it very well. Fist pass loosened the ground that was extremely compacted, 2nd pass finished the job off for a perfect result. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend anyone who is looking for a tiller that can handle the tough stuff this countyline unit is well worth consideration on price and build quality...
