Waste of money

I purchased cosequin in hopes of easing the joint pain of my horse and there was absolutely no improvement in his condition within a months use of cosequin. I used the loading dose of 2 scoops per day for a month and after not seeing any improvement at all I decided to contact Nutramax directly. When I reached customer service I was told that cosequin is not for pain, it's just a supplement and it is for future joint issues prevention not for current issues relief. I am very disappointed in this product and that the Nutramax doesn't stand behind this product. Now I have to wait for a new supplement to arrive that is backed up by the manufacturer. So if your looking to give your horse relief for discomfort and stiffness that he is suffering from now, then don't bother with this product!!!

I have been giving this to my 17 year old dressage mare who was starting to have stiffness in her left hock due to arthritis. She's been on it for about 6 months now and shows remarkable improvement. That stiffness is basically gone and she is moving beautifully. I can honestly say this has made a noticeable difference. I don't always say that about supplements, but this one definitely works for typical arthritis/stiffness. So far, I haven't needed injections, just using this helped her enough that I haven't needed to do any more. I think it smells sweet, and I mix it in with soaked alfalfa - no issues with my horse not eating it, but she is not a fussy eater anyway.
Yes, I recommend this product.
