AD-15 folding knives were modeled after Andrew Demko's patented original, it offers ambidextrous operation and opens and closes with 1 hand for easy use. The bottom portion of the handle has 3D-machined G-10 scales mated to steel liners, while the upper portion of the handle is crafted from a 3D-machined 6061 aluminum billet that includes an integral back spacer which conceals a strong compression spring. To open the tactical folding knife, simply engage the thumb stud and watch the yoke rise up, until it falls snugly into a deep notch cut in the blade's tang.

Unique knife

I have the AD-10, which I absolutely love. I wanted to try this different lock type. I am left handed, so I enjoy ambidextrous locking mechanisms. This lock is going to take some practice with. The S35VN drop point blade, is awesome.

Outstanding feel for the size of blade. The grip being the lock is smart, making this folder feel like a fixed blade. Fidget fun worthy!

Got the knife a couple weeks back and at 1st really awkward in operation. I like knife play so initially disappointed but knew it couldn’t be the knife due to a very obvious build quality. However, after a bit of knife oil and working it in I can finger flick it all day. Super sharp out of the box. And clearly made to last and/ or be the last man standing cuz the lick up and blade don’t mess around. Be carful it’s sharp

This knife feels solid in my hand. When I open the knife all the way, the yoke falls securely into a deep groove in the blade. I like being able to see this locking mechanism in action. This is not the case with other knives. Once I open the knife, I cannot think of a way where the blade can accidentally close by itself. From an open position, I can use one hand to close the knife. Once the blade is closed, the spring mechanism holds it securely shut. At that point, it is difficult to imagine how the blade can accidentally open. I know some folding knives have a tendency to slide open by an inch or so, if you jiggle them. This is not the case with the AD-15. I find the scorpion lock very reassuring and reliable. This is a really nice design.
