Made from American S35VN Steel, the Ultimate Hunter is hand-ground to a razor edge that will last an amazingly long time. The heavily bead blasted, CNC machined G-10 handles are comfortably smooth, while still giving a very secure, safe grip. Equipped with a super-strong Tri-Ad locking mechanism for extra safety, the Ultimate Hunter is a pure thoroughbred hunting / outdoorsmans blade that also makes an excellent everyday carry knife - practical, functional and incredibly capable!

    Great design ... blade to lock surfaces gritty

    I would give this ideal design for a large size EDC a five-star, except -- the blade to lock surfaces are so gritty and unfinished that I can barely open it with two hands. And this is after opening and closing it a hundred times while watching TV. I don't know how I could disassemble it to polish the inner surfaces. Surprised, as every other Cold Steel product I've purchased has been outstanding. I don't know how to recommend it, as I've read other reviews and no mention of great difficulty opening due to gritty blade to lock surfaces. I must have received a knife that somehow missed a polishing operation.

    I would have given it a 5 star, but I had an engravement done on my knife and it took over s month to get it. They don't tell you an approximate time frame of delivery of engraved products. Otherwise, the knife is great, just like the other Cold Steel knives I've gotten. Karl

    Excellent product, I use it daily when working on the farm, cutting ropes, peeling fruits, whatever is necessary. definitely The EDC KNIFE for 6 years

    I have always loved Cold Steel knives since owning the very first Trail Master in CarbonV leather sheathed. This drop point folder is without a doubt the best looking, toughest going, sharpest bladed pocket knife I've ever bought. I can't say enough about it. It is my favorite EDC knife. I wouldn't accept any other knife in place of this one. None.
