The Cold Steel Spartan Folding Knife has a super-sharp stonewashed blade made from Japanese AUS10A steel. The knife is designed to echo the aesthetics and cutting performance of the world famous Kukri. Its distinctive Kopis-inspired handle is precision injection molded out of Griv-Ex with heat treated steel liners. This, in addition to the famous Tri-Ad lock, makes for a knife that is incredibly safe and secure.

Best knife i own

Ive had it 3 years 100% reliable and if needed for self defense adds an intimidation factor most knives do not. Tough reliable best knife ive ever owned

One slip could end his career

I believe I have had this knife as my EDC for the last twelve years. I love it. If I have pants on then this Spartan is with me. It is well made and cut like nothing else. It came extremely sharp, and I have kept it that way. I use a 6000 grit belt sander. It is more as a power honer. I went to a restaurant where you can grill your own steak, or have their Grill Master grill it for you. I pulled out my Spartan to cut my steak to check it was medium-rare. I just touched the steak and it went right thru the meat. The Grill Master saw my cut and said he was also the butcher that prepared the steaks. He said he would never use a knife that sharp, because it was too dangerous to use for breaking down cattle. One slip could end his career. He also asked how I sharpened it to that sharp. 6000 grit belt is like a power razor strop. I have a barber’s leather strop, but the power belt is faster.

My favorite EDC knife. Carried for over 10 years.

I have carried this knife daily since I first purchased it right after they were first released. I carried it to be my last resort while on patrol and it didn’t take long to become my every day carry. Even though I retired from law enforcement 5 years ago I still carry this knife daily. I definitely recommend purchasing one.
