Available in two sizes, each AK-47 features a solid 6061 Aluminum pommel and an S35VN Alloy Steel blade, vacuum heat-treated and sub-zero quenched for maximum toughness, and hollow ground for an edge that has to be felt to be believed. Each AK-47 blade is also DLC (Diamond Like) coated for superior corrosion and abrasion resistance.Each knife has high quality G-10 handles that offer an incredibly secure grip even when wearing thick gloves or working in cold or wet conditions, and is equipped with our Tri-Ad lock. The Tri-Ad is arguably the world's strongest locking mechanism. With a rock-solid lock-up and extreme shock resistance - two features of particular concern to our modern Military, who require dependable tools for the worst possible situations! Finally, to assure fully ambidextrous and lightning fast deployment, each AK-47 features our patented thumb plate, allowing the knife to be drawn and simultaneously opened by snagging it on the edge of a pocket.

Best knife out there!

My favorite knife of ALL TIME! I've owned one for at least 15 years now. Finding myself back here to purchase my fourth one. Not because of "failure" though. I've unfortunately lost all of them either in the "field" or TSA. Comes extremely sharp and withstands significant punishment. I've used it to cut oak fire wood and still cut tri-tip. You can't beat the quick draw either. Though it's gotten more expensive it's worth buying again for a fourth time.

Perfect for law enforcement

Bought this knife 16 years ago when I graduated the police academy. It’s perfect back up protection and has keeps its edge. Now I’m over our police academy and recommend it to all our recruits. Only downside is the price compared to when I bought mine.

Toughest, sharpest, coolest knife I ever had.

I was gifted one of these from a friend in the military who was relieved it from the armory when he was stationed in Iraq. I had a full beard at the time and with one swipe I shaved half of my face. It was by far the sharpest blade I've ever handled and the way the tip is formed makes it unbreakable. Most of my knives eventually get the tip broken off but the tip of the Cold Steel AK is made thick and does not break. I used for everything from butchering meat, to chopping down trees. On top of all that the fact that it self opens when you pull it out of your pocket makes it jot only the toughest, and sharpest but the coolest knife you will ever own also! You'll love the look of astonishment on tour buddy's face when you whip that bad boy out.

Great Knife with problematic pocket clip

Amazing knife, with superior sturdiness and quality. Perfect secure grip and very sharp. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the pocket clip which is way too tight and makes pocket carry and deployment difficult and impractical.
