Q&As

1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Q: If I put the post in the ground 2 foot what is the height that should mount the feeder on

1 Answer
  • A: or the Boss Buck 200 lb. Post Feeder, you should aim for a feed port height of 40 to 42 inches off the ground. If you set the post 2 feet (24 inches) into the ground, this means you will need a post that stands roughly 5.5 to 6 feet above ground level.

Didn't last a season

The feeder didn't last a season before the arms started sagging, allowing the feed to dump directly on the ground. Complete waste of money.

Great feeder

Made from high quality plastic that should last for years. My only complaint is that it should come with a basic set of instructions showing the correct mounting height. Also the molded square requires some bending before a 4x4 will fit. That took more time to do than anything else. I mounted a metal shield under the feeder to prevent racoons and squirrels from climbing the post. It takes 2-3 months for deer in my area to get comfortable using it.

Yes, I recommend this product.
