How many staples per post on a 5' tall welded wire fence?

Asked by: dad39
We recommend you staple the bottom two wires, every other wire going up, and the top wire.

There should be 63 staples per lb. A 8 lb bucket would have 504 staples. Is that correct?

Asked by: Fence David
@Fence David, for the 1.5" staples there are on average 63 staples so yes!

Could I use these to attach a wielded wire fence to a PVC three rail fence?

Asked by: NRCarter
Thank-you for your question! Are the posts PVC posts? We would not recommend using our Double Barbed Fence Staples with PVC posts. These posts typically they have special connectors that you have to drill and fasten with a screw. Our Barbed Staples are best used with wood posts. If you happen have flex rail fence on wood posts they would work well.

David asked if its 504 staples per container because each pound should have roughly 63 staples. You guys said yes correct. But also answered other questions with an answer of just 63 staples per container. So is it 63 per 8 lb container or closer to 500

Asked by: Duddeeee

Is there a certain direction these stsples should be lined up when stapling?

Asked by: Lemar
Good question. Yes there is a specific way you should line your staples. The staples should be angled up and not be driven in too deep. Allow room for the fence to move. Check out the video here: https://fencing.bekaert.com/en/installing-your-fence/fence-installation-faq/driving-fence-staples
