It doesn't matter what kind of wire you're using for fencing: welded, field fence, twisted smooth wire, high tensile or barbed, THESE THINGS are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and they come in sizes that accommodate ANY size fencing wire! Just insert one end of the wire into a Gripple, put your stretcher on and insert the other end of the wire into the other side of the Gripple and pull the two ends together. When you let the pressure off the stretcher, you have a PERFECT splice that absolutely WILL NOT LET LOOSE! If you need to remove the Gripple, there's a little pin that comes with them and a tiny hole on each Gripple. Just insert the pin into that tiny hole and the Gripple lets loose! The GREAT thing about Gripples is that these little jewels can be re-used MANY times! They save a LOT of time you'd be wasting by twisting the wires together to splice them, and also save pinched fingers!
