Q: Can this be used to treat algea in a well reservoir holding tank?

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! While Cutrine-Plus is approved for large, open-air drinking water reservoirs, it should never be used inside an enclosed well holding tank. It relies on direct sunlight and natural organic sediment to work safely, meaning it will not break down properly in a dark tank and can lead to dangerous copper levels in your home plumbing. Instead, sticking to a standard, food-grade chlorine shock treatment is the safest way to sanitize your home's water supply.

Trash. Never again. This or anything else.

Don’t buy this. It sinks straight to the bottom of the pond without incorporating itself into the water. It did absolutely nothing. You can watch it fall straight to the bottom as if you were pouring water into cooking oil.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Chuck,

Per the label instructions, the product needs to be diluted and applied as a spray directly to the algae. It is too dense straight out of the bottle, so yes it will sink to the bottom without spreading.
