I've been an AquaShade user for years, but saw this Black Bayou on sale for nearly half of what AquaShade costs, so I thought I'd give it a try. I've got an 8/10 of an acre pond, and half gallon of AquaShade does the trick and lasts generally about a month, depending on rain. I dumped a full gallon of the Black Bayou, gave it a day, NO color change. Dumped another full gallon of the Black Bayou the next day.... Still, NO color change. AquaShade may be nearly twice the price, but I should have known you get what you pay for. I wasted $70 on 2 gallons of Black Bayou that literally did nothing. One gallon of AquaShade at $60 would have treated my pond twice, and generally lasts about a month each time, again, depending on rain. I'm down right ticked that I bought this sorry Black Bayou product. Hopefully this review saves somebody else some money.

Very concentrated

It didn’t work at all. Just settled into the lake and didn’t do anything.
