Adequan I.M. (Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan) Injection offers symptom relief for horses experiencing joint pain and dysfunction. Whether your horse has osteoarthritis, injury or lameness of carpel and hock joints resulting from joint dysfunction, Adequan may be able to help. It's formulated to stimulate cartilage repair and helps reverse the joint disease process, improving your horse's quality of life and mobility. Adequan is sold in 50 mL vials and is designed for intramuscular injection. FDA approved.How it Works
This product helps care for arthritic conditions by increasing the constitution of synovial fluid in the joints. This helps to decrease inflammatory responses, aids in creating thriving joint fluid, and improves cartilage creation.
Special Precautions
In order to implement total potency and effectivity in aiding cartilage maintenance and catalyzing joint restoration, be sure to conduct each of the 7 required doses. There is little evidence instituting safety in equine intended for breeding. Do not administer in horses meant for human ingestion. Strictly for animal use. Do not let in reach of children. IMPORTANT NOTE* Federal law dictates that this product may only be used by or per the instruction of a licensed veterinarian.

Each 5 milliliters of Adequan® i.m. contains 100 mg of Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan and Water for Injection q.s. Sodium Hydroxide and/or Hydrochloric Acid added when necessary to adjust pH. Sodium Chloride may be added to adjust tonicity.
Not for oral administration. The recommended dose of Adequan® i.m. in horses is 500 mg every 4 days for 28 days intramuscularly. The injection site must be thoroughly cleansed prior to injection. Do not mix Adequan® i.m. with other drugs or solvents.
