We apologize for the trouble you are seeing with your unit, but we would be happy to assist! Please confirm you are using fresh, regular Alkaline batteries in the Outdoor Sensor and the Indoor Display unit if applicable. We would recommend trying the following hard reset steps between the display and the outdoor sensor to see if this will help with the connection issues you are experiencing:
Hard Reset:
Bring both the sensor and display unit together and remove batteries from the outdoor sensor.
Remove the batteries and power adapter from the display unit.
Allow both units a full 2 minutes to completely power down.
Change the A-B-C switch on both units to a new, matching channel then press and hold the reset button in the battery compartment of the indoor display unit for 20 seconds if applicable. You may need a paperclip or a toothpick to do this.
Reinstall the batteries in the outdoor sensor.
Reinstall batteries and power cord into the display unit then immediately press and hold the reset button again for 20 seconds if applicable.
Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for approximately 5 minutes or until you see a solid sensor signal.
If the hard reset does not correct the issue we would recommend trying the reset steps one more time on the last unused ABC Channel as we do see this may correct the issue.

Not an Acurate device!

I've had this unit less than a year. The outdoor thermometer is built into the unit. Unfortunately it heats up with the sun and gives you a false reading by 10 to 15° at times, even in the winter. Supposedly an internal fan cools it. If that's true mine doesn't work.
My other gripe is the wind gauge. In Kansas the wind typically blows 25 to 50 mph constantly, not in gusts, yet it never, ever registers above 14 mph. I would not recommend anyone buy this product. It's just not accurate.

For the issue you are seeing with the outdoor temperature reading we would recommend first confirming if the outdoor sensor is operating as it should be, to do that please follow the steps in the article linked below:

If the fan is operating as it should be then we would recommend checking the temperature and humidity board for any visual signs of corrosion or damage. You can do that by following the steps in the article linked below:

For the issue you are seeing with the wind readings please consider the following:
What is wind reading being compared to? Pro weather stations are typically mounted at 33-feet or higher. Make sure to compare data using a sensor positioned at the same mounting height as your sensor.
Check the location of the sensor. Ensure it’s mounted a minimum of 5-feet in the air with no obstructions around it (within several feet). The National Weather Service recommends mounting the sensor 33 feet above the ground with no obstructions within 100 feet for the most accurate wind speeds. We understand not all of our customers can mount this high. You will receive an accurate reading for the location your sensor is mounted including all surroundings. If you are comparing to a local news station, they are following the National Weather Service guidelines.
