Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product This stuff is fantastic! My cat developed conjunctivitis in both eyes and this cleared it right up! The bottle can be a little tricky for getting small dosages out, but overall great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW This ophthalmic gel saved me a trip to the vet when my Boston Terrier's eye was irritated from dirt. I literally cleansed with a non saline eye wash and applied the gel three times daily and I know he couldn't thank me more. After 4 days of application, his eye is not squinting and he's at his hyper-best. Thank you so much for such an amazing product!

Can this be used in conjunction with Terramycin ointment(qm) <my question mark key has malfuntioned.

Asked by: csjohnson
They can be used together. We recommend using the eye wash and then apply the antibiotic ointment. If you are using the eye gel I would allow 15-30 minutes between applications.

Is this product for used for cherry eye

Asked by: Chiefdan
Cherry eye is a protrusion of a gland in the third eye lid. This is often caused by a weakness in the attachment of the gland. Treatment often requires surgical replacement of the gland or removal of the gland. Sometimes inflammation can result of possibly even cause the gland to protrude. Vetericyn can help with inflammation and it may improve the problem, but I would not expect complete resolution of the issue without surgical intervention. We recommend speaking with a veterinarian for what is best for your animal.

My coonhound eyelid is swollen and alittle runny and had a couple bumps around this. Would this help clear it up????? Please help

Asked by: Amanda201089
Yes our Vetericyn Plus Ophthalmic Gel would alleviate discomfort and promote healing. When using the Ophthalmic gel it is very important for the customer to ensure any debris is removed first as the gel acts as a coating and if any foreign matter exists it will further irritate the eye. To clean away the foreign matter they can use clean water or our Vetericyn Plus All Animal Eye Wash or Vetericyn Plus All Animal Wound & Skin, then they can apply the Vetericyn Plus Antimicrobial Ophthalmic Gel. Our suggestions would be to apply at least two to three times daily until the condition has cleared.

I have some wild kittens living under my storage barn. One of the kittens has it’s eyes matted closed with what I call “crud”. It’s crusty and hard and warm water wouldn’t soften it. Would this help clear that up? That is if I can catch it again

Asked by: Texasfilly
Yes, this product will help with the issue the kitten is experiencing but will not be as easy as just applying the Vetericyn Plus Antimicrobial Ophthalmic Gel. When using the Ophthalmic Gel we insist that the eye be cleaned first with clean tap water or with the Vetericyn Plus All Animal Eye Wash as the Ophthalmic Gel acts as a barrier and if not cleaned properly first, will further irritate the eye if anything lies beyond it.
