I had one of these stoves about 18 years ago, although it was a smaller version, and this one is bigger and heats well. Says its a coal burning stove but it burns wood very well. It is also much less expensive than one that says wood burning stove. This stove has a grate you lay the wood on and the ashes fall into the ash pan below.

Bought one of these 4 yrs. ago. Had an Ashley 30 yrs ago and thought that this was the same. After 1 month of use the feed door warped, called customer service and they sent a new door. 2months later the grates warped, again called customer service and received a new grate. The following year the grate warped again, couldn't get the ash pan out. Called cs and was told that I would have to purchase a new one. Went to Tractor supply and the manager gave me a new one, that one lasted 2 more months then broke. Had a local machine shop make me a heavy duty 1 inch steel grate after a few months couldn't get the ash pan out, looked inside and found that the brackets that hold the grate had broken off. Now looking for a new stove that is better built. The old Ashley lasted 30 years and we left it when we sold our old house, big mistake. This stove is now going to the scrap yard!
