I love this stove

If you are looking for an EPA rated airtight stove then you should keep looking. But if you are not concerned about EPA etc and want to find the absolute best stove for you money anywhere, then you have found it. I bought this stove and set it up.... only assembly was attaching the legs (then, of course preparing my chimney etc)....had it ready to burn in less than an hour. I lit it up (you should use nice small kindling.... I used kind of big chunks and had a hard time getting a fire going) and it had heated up my 1300 sf basement to 75 in less than an hour. I used wood for the first hour and I found it easy to get coal burning after that. I found the coal fire very easy to maintain. a couple of small shovels every hour or so was perfect... maybe a little hot for the space I am heating, though. With a little practice it is very easy to maintain a constant level of flame and heat output using the stoves dampers and the spin damper in the exhaust pipe. Only down side at all was that when I built the first fire the curing paint completely filled my basement. I have used wood stoves for years and I know that the first fire will cure the paint and burn off some bad fumes, but this was really much... never seen anything like it. I would think they could have baked it for a bit to cure the paint? Might have raised the price a bit, but would have been worth it to me. Make sure that you either build the first couple of fires while it is still outside or have a way to thouroughly vent your room to clear all the smoke. Again.... I LOVE this stove. Best money I have ever spent on a stove.

Potbelly stove

I purchased this stove on sale at tractor supply and I like it compared to my wood insert. I burn coal it it and it heats very well. The paint has burnt off in a weeks time so it looks grey now but still functions. If your looking for high quality stop shopping at tractor supply. If you want value for the buck and something that will last a while till you can afford something better buy at tractor supply. I have the stove 3 stars cause it's ok. Nothing to write mom about.

Good Stove for the Price

Overall a decent stove, especially for the price. Installed in September 2023 and used through the winter. Heats my 25 x 25 outdoor shop well. Heavy and solid, but nowhere near airtight so it's difficult to control the burn. Shaker grate doesn't work well due to the limited range of motion.

Yes, I recommend this product.
