Q: What is the EPA efficiency rating for the Defender Stove on Legs, 1,200 sq. ft., 68,000 BTU model? I need this documentation for a tax credit but it’s not listed on any manual or website.

Q: We have had our stove for a few years and after doing some research, are supposed to have a baffle for the stove itself. Was the Defender II supposed to have that included in the stove?
4 months ago- A: There is a ceramic fiber board baffle located above the secondary combustion tubes inside the firebox of the heater.4 months agoHelpful?
Q: can u cook on top
4 months ago- A: Yes, you can cook on the flat top of the US Stove Wood-Burning Defender Stove on Legs. The surface becomes hot enough to place pots and pans directly on it for heating water, simmering stews, or frying food. However, you must control the cooking temperature by managing the size of the fire and the stove's air inlets, as there are no traditional heat adjustment knobs. This feature makes it a highly versatile and practical appliance, particularly useful during power outages.4 months agoHelpful?

Q: Does this stove come with the pedestal option?
5 months ago- A: The US Stove Wood-Burning Defender Stove on Legs typically does not include a pedestal option in the same box. Instead, the US Stove Company offers Model AW1120E-P (Pedestal Version). This is the companion model that comes with a solid pedestal base and integrated ash drawer instead of legs.5 months agoHelpful?
Q: Is the blower behind the stove and pushes air up over and out the front..? And are there adjustable speed settings
5 months ago- A: The blower is located on the back of the stove. It pulls in cool air from behind the unit. It pushes that air around the hot firebox and sends it out through the front of the stove (above the door) to heat the room. The compatible blower kit (Model CB36) has a variable speed knob (rheostat). This lets the customer adjust the fan from low to high or turn it off entirely.5 months agoHelpful?
Q: There is a part here that is not listed on the parts list and nowhere does it show where it would be installed.?!?

Q: Can the flue vent be moved to the back ?
6 months ago- A: According to the manufacturer's official website and manual No., the flue vent on the US Stove 1200 sq. ft. Defender Wood Stove on Legs (model US1100E-L) cannot be moved to the back. Modifying the stove to create a rear vent would void the EPA certification and manufacturer's warranty, which can also affect insurance coverage and building code compliance.6 months agoHelpful?
