I have a picky horse and didn’t know if she would like the wafer style treats. But she loved them. I thought it was sort of pricey for such a small bag, but it goes a long way. I have been giving her the recommended amount of 30 wafers everyday. Her hooves are looking better.

I bought 2 bags, one bag is within 30 days of expiring and I am going to return. The wafers smelled strongly of chemicals and were a strange color. I tried a small portion and did give 1 to my horse. Before I take the one bag back I will open the 2nd bag to check the color and taste. I don't think I will be giving 30 wafers a day for the supplemental benefit but these can replace another treat that is only a treat. I did contact Triple Crown and they were very helpful as usual!

My horse loves the hoof treats. If you have to feed 30 treats per day to get the "hoof nutrition" you can surely get a better bang for your buck with a "proven supplement" or a balanced fortified feed. They should be classified as treats only. I love the triple crown brand but these wafers are a gimmick and a money maker.

Use these as a treat and all my horses (3) eat it. Nice to have a treat that has nutritional value.
