Outstanding box for my needs

Purchased 1 July 2016. Purchased a new Ford F-150 extended cab the day before. I needed extra space fit perfectly with factory installed bed liner and rail cabs. Exterior color scheme perfect match. HEADS UP: [installation] the box was furnished with two J bolts with washers and nuts. The instructions suggest pre drill holes in the center. Absolutely. Secure the box evenly. Using the J bolts no need of drilling holes into a used or new truck. They hook underneath the bed. Excellent designing. THE TRICK IS FINDING THE CORRECT DISTANCE FROM INSIDE THE TOOL BOX TO UNDERNEATH THE BED RAIL SIDES. TWO ATTEMPTS AND I GOT IT CORRECT. FOR MY APPLICATION I HAD TO REMOVE SOME OF THE J BOLT BECAUSE THE HYDRAULLIC LIFT SUPPORTS WERE BINDING AGAINST THE J BOLT WHEN INSTALLATION WAS COMPLETE. NO BIGGIE. IF YOU INSTALL YOURSELF YOU NEED THE EXTRA LENGTH TO HOLD THE J BOLT. I would highly recommend this box.

Be careful with these, you cant stand on them, they are flimsy and will bend and dent. And the worst is the latching mechanism is bad!! Will not latch at times!!

If only one item is listed on the TSC site - CALL AHEAD to check if they really have it. We drove 31 miles to the first TSC which showed it was in stock. It was not. The sales associate did not offer to help us to find one in one of the surrounding towns but instructed us to be sure to call ahead to be sure they have it and have the item number. Upon driving 58 miles to the other TSC we were ready to purchase then found that NONE of the tool boxes have mounting hardware. We bought additional mounting hardware and went on our way. My husband had this similar tool box on his old truck and only had issues with the locking mechanism after many years.

Well that sucks I bought this tool box a month go (May) on sale for $413. An now it's down to $390 guess I should have waited . But all said the tool box is great holds everything I needed to put in it .
