This is one of the best products I have ever bought. It not only skids but also lifts quite well. I attached it to my tractor bucket and picked up about a dozen huge tree trunks which had been cut into 6 foot lengths. Some of these trunks were over 24 inches in diameter and weighed about 2500 pounds. I wouldn't get under the load but it worked out very nice as I didn't have to tear up my property draggging the trunks. Super nice!!! BUT BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!

Poor Design

I needed this thing to move a lot of logs over the weekend before my excavator came in today to built our driveway. I wanted to save as much of the burn able wood as possible . I pulled about six logs, 12" in diameter and about 4 feet long to the top of our property, only dragged the logs about 150 feet. On the seventh log, one of the greens pikes that grabs onto the log came off. They are held on with "C" clips and are strong enough for that  purpose . I ended up drilling and pinning each one rather than replacing the clips. It works great now, but I should not have had to alter the design to Make it functional

Needs some real-time engineering testing

The tongs look really nice and are heavy. The purty green spikes that bite into the log are big and heavy. HOWEVER, the spike is held into the main arms by snap rings. If you tap on the spike to set it into the log, in my experience is within 2 logs, the snap rings unseated and get lost in the ground trash. I like them, nice concept. But, plan on welding the tips into the arm bracket or cross drilling and bolting them in. Obviously not tested in real world by real men.

Worth the money.

I bought this back in 2020. My parents burn wood almost exclusively for heat and the process of taking a truck out to the woods was just too inefficient for my taste. So I bought these tongs and some log chains. Started dragging the whole log up to the barn. Way more efficient. I've pulled several hundred logs since then and they've held up well.

Yes, I recommend this product.
