Q: Would this work to haul rocks? What weight?

  • A: skid plate is made of a heavy gage steel, and the dimensions accommodate most size logs. it would be more of a question on the size of the rocks/boulders and how you would secure it to the skid plate. my problem with this skid plate is that it came in 2 pieces which then get machine screwed together. I had to retap the screw holes. I am dragging around 3k lb tree trunks. Again it's a skid plate, plate steel dragged by chains, not too high teck to say the least. I would give 3 out of 5 stars due to the assembly issue.

dont waste your money

this is junk if ground is a little uneven it rolls over on side, and the bottom of metal plate bowed after one day of use.

If you can back up to the log this is great. Doesn't dig in when pulling. Much less resistance and bounce.
