I got my order faster than expected, so that was nice. The tool hardware was not tightened securely, and had to be snugged up a bit prior to use. It also appears that may be an ongoing issue, as it will probably loosen with use. However it does work as intended, and saves a bit of bending and handling dirty of snowy logs, and was up the task of dragging a long trunk over to the wood pile. Would give it 5 stars, but it has a cheaper overall feel than the price would suggest.

Makes a tough job alittle easier. Saves on back fatigue.

I bought these and when I received them I thought "Why did I buy these? They don't seem to useful". I was WRONG! I used them to cut and move some windfalls on my tree lot. I cut the downed trees into 10-20' section. I started dragging them by hand and then remembered I had these tongs. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I had to bend over only 1/2 way to pick up a log, I could drag them with one hand, and they release the log easily when you want. I cut the long logs into 4' sections and placed them in the wood shed to dry. The tongs made this such an easy task. I wish I had 2 pairs. Some logs I cut into 12-16" rounds and again, only had to bend over 1/2 way to pick these up! I would buy these again. There is no evident wear after a day's work, and the operated flawlessly.

I bought this set of tongs to handle concrete blocks, instead of wood. The concrete blocks are 6 x 10 x 16 and weigh 52 pounds. Really a job to handle. The tongs work very well and make the task much much easier. Because they work so well, I bought a second set just in case someone offers to help me.
