Q: Would this product work in a small plastic wading pool for my goose in the winter. We get below freezing temps but I’m wondering if it’s too big for a small pool and cause the pool to get too warm?

Q: Our church is looking for a heater for a 200 gallon stock tank to be used indoors as a baptistry. We would fill the tank the day before and want the water comfortable for a person, 75-80 degrees. This would be used only occasionally.

Here is the information we received back from the vendor- "Unfortunately, the K&H stock deicers would not work as they are thermostatically controlled and only heat the water at freezing temps, to warm just above freezing, providing an open water source. - A: Place unit into the pond and plug it in. Once the surrounding water temperature falls, the De-Icer will automatically turn on and off.5 years agoHelpful?

Don’t buy from this company and definitely don’t buy this product. It doesn’t work and we sent it back and haven’t received a replacement. These people are terrible

I've owned several of these for different ponds and I love that they float. My koi and goldfish gather around it like a hangout during the day and even in single digit weather my pond doesn't freeze. I'm able to put one near my pump and leep it running underwater if needed too.

Works great for my 100 gallon stock tank pond. The fish love it, and here in southern WV the pond constantly freezes over in the winter even with a 300gph pump pumping the water.
