The SIMPSON Megashot 3400 PSI pressure washer cannot connect directly to a static water tank because its axial cam pump needs positive water pressure from a standard garden hose to function safely. If you try to run it from a tank without pressure, the pump will overheat and permanently damage its internal seals. Used it a few times already and I'm impressed with the lightweight which makes it easy to load into the truck. Despite its small size it has plenty of power through. It was also very easy to do the initial startup.
