The Shop Fox W1826 1 HP Wall Dust Collector is designed to capture dust right at the source, eliminating the reduced efficiency of a duct system. With 537 CFM capacity, it will handle just about any hungry woodworking machine and without a complicated duct system, static pressure loss is minimal. A simple wall-mount bracket and locking screw system ensures you'll be safely up and running in no time! The bag filter features a window to gauge dust levels in the bag and a bottom zipper for easy cleaning. Like all Shop Fox benchtop machines, the W1826 comes with a 2-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects. (Consumables are not covered by the warranty.) The W1826 manual was written by the U.S. based Woodstock Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. The complete and easy-to-read manual makes it easier to assemble and maintain your dust collector.

    It Sucks and Good!

I was initially concerned that the 1HP motor might not be enough to get the job done. Once I had it connected to my new 1023RLW saw, those concerns vanished like the dust inside the cabinet. After cutting over 100 small pieces of 3/4 plywood approximately 3 inches wide, I was pleasantly suprized at how little saw dust remained in the bottom of the cabinet. Even better, the lower blade cover was virtually empty with only a few small specs remaining. I also appreciate the relatively small size of the unit. I installed it on a rolling stand/cart which enables me to rearrange things as needed depending on the material size being cut. Best feature of all however is the noise, or the lack thereof. I expected it to be much louder but it is the quitest motorized item in my entire shop! If I could pick one thing to change it would be the color of the dust collection bag. While the bright white might make for some great advertising layout and videos, I found it nearly impossibe to keep it clean and bristling white. Perhaps a tan or even a light gray would be a better option.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Perfect for my shop

This is the perfect size for my small basement shop. It has good suction, is quiet and if fairly unobtrusive. I'm using magnetic connectors to switch between ports on my various pieces of equipment, which makes things convenient

I have used this machine twice and I find it to be a tough solid piece of machinery. So far I have bought a small bandsaw and this dust collector. Grizzly is the place for reliable equipment.

Good but a few design issues

I just got this over the weekend and took less than 45 minutes to get it up and running. Pros: fairly quiet and seems to have good suction. Takes up little space and love it hangs on the wall. I bought this mainly to use as a designated dust collector for my 1 3/4 hp saw stop and seems like a good value for the money. Cons: the bag is a bit frustrating. I've read other reviews on various sites and I had the same issue; the clamp is too small and won't fit around the bag. Not sure why they made the throat so short. A few extra inches of length would make it easier to keep the bag on and have room for adjustment. Most people will hook up a separator system and that's the only way I'd use this. The bag is small and it will fill up way too quickly
