Large stones and bark make up the majority

Recently gone DOWNHILL and fast. I've gone through maybe a dozen bags of this so far in the 2026 season. The first few bags were really decent. But the last 3 bags from my latest trip- what in the world?! FULL of mulch-sized pieces of bark and also stones. Not just tiny pebbles (though they are TONS of those now). These are like, rocks. Why these are in potting soil I do not know, but this debris caused several of my plant's roots to become stunted because theyre trying to push through a bed of solid material. It took me wayyyyy too long to pot up some tomatoes and peppers because I had to filter all this stuff out. Three quarters of the weight of each bag isn't anything usable. It's all bark and rocks sitting in a container in my dining room waiting to be chucked outside. I might as well have gone out and dug into my shale yard and used that. Do the people who make this stuff actually use it? It makes me want to tear my hair out. I am including a photo so you understand. This photo is all of the debris from just a HALF GALLON of this mix. I suppose it's if you're only potting gallon size or larger?
