Ecofan UltrAir Heat Powered Stove Fan, 810CAKBX is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works as advertised... I bought the ecofan model 810CAKBX as a test to see how well it worked. I have a hearth heater wood stove that already has a two speed electric fan that works great but I wanted to see how the ecofan compared. It was on sale so I figured it was the time to test it out. It is quiet and it does work but the built in fan on my stove at the low speed setting is noticeably better. I guess if you don't have electricity or you really want a very quiet fan then it would by a good choice; however I would suggest that you buy 2 of them. It is a nice novelty item, when people see it they are amazed and of course they want to know how it works. Great conversation piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little fan I found really nice fan, love how it starts and stops automatically, cause I forget to unplug the real fan at night, blowing cold air around with no fire, with this fan it does it by itself, and no electricity involved sweet

Can I was is on a pellet stove

Asked by: Laura conrad
Hi Laura! Thank you for your question. The 810 UltrAir model is designed for use on wood stoves. If you have a gas or pellet stove, you will require the 806 BelAir model as it is designed to operate with lower surface temperatures compared to the wood stove models.

Hello, I would like to know if there is a mechanical connection to the stove? Also can this fan be used with a fireplace?

Hi. Can I use the fan in front of a wood stove? There is not any room on top of the stove as it is set back into the wall.

Asked by: Lou2990
Hi Lou2990. Thank you for your question. I'm sorry, but the Ecofan will not work in front of the wood stove, nor is it recommended. The Ecofan requires the direct surface heat from the stove-top and also requires to be positioned on the stove-top where it will receive cooler room temperature air to flow through the fins on the top.

Is fan motor removable? Would like to operate the fan with the stove heat but want to move air at a different location.

Asked by: However you do Sam
Hi However you do Sam! Thank you for your question. The motor is removable if the Ecofan requires a new motor. We do not recommend any other modifications.

What is the minimum surface temperature that the fan will operate?

Asked by: wasper
Hi wasper! Thank you for your question. The 810 UltrAir model will start spinning at 212F, but it will be spinning slowly. It will spin at it's maximum when it reaches 400F.
