Q: Can this be used with a vent-free Joudl Gas stove?

1 Answer
  • A: On the box it has specs for heat tolerance. We use ours on a joudl wood stove that get pretty hot with no problems. Always know when it's time to add more wood, as the fan slows down.

  • A: YUP, PUT IRON PLATE UNDER IT TO PROTECT THE BOTTOM, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T OVER HEAT IT, RASEING IT ABOVE TOP OF THE STOVE WOULD BE THE BEST, IF YOU CAN DO IT SAFELY

Q: Hi. Can I use the fan in front of a wood stove? There is not any room on top of the stove as it is set back into the wall.

A: Hi Lou2990. Thank you for your question. I'm sorry, but the Ecofan will not work in front of the wood stove, nor is it recommended. The Ecofan requires the direct surface heat from the stove-top and also requires to be positioned on the stove-top where it will receive cooler room temperature air to flow through the fins on the top.

The one I have now is a replacement because the one I bought 3 weeks ago stopped working. Tractor Supply replaced it. I like the product, hopefully it works as long as my 10 year old one

Not worth the money

Many have said it works on a pellet stove but not for mine. 250 degrees at the top and the blade barely even spins. Complete waste of money and returning.

No, I do not recommend this product.
