Feed 4 to 8 lbs daily to active horses, along with at least 1.5% of the horse's bodyweight (15 lbs for a 1000-lb horse) in good, quality forage.
Feed 2 to 4 lbs daily to maintenance horses, along with at least 1% of the horses bodyweight (10 lbs for a 1000-lb horse) in good, quality forage.Feed rates will vary with size, age, temperament, health status, climate, forage quality and activity level. 2 years ago- A: Producer's Pride 12% Horse Pellet is not a complete with forage diet which a horse that can't chew needs. We would recommend Equine Senior for this horse. This is a complete with forage diet that will provide all of the forage needed per day. It does have a higher feeding rate because you are also replacing all of the forage in the diet.2 years agoHelpful?
