Meet the Pirtle Nursery Pink Dogwood Tree. The Pink Dogwood is a classic small landscape flowering tree. During mid-spring it will have large, over-lapping, four-petaled pink flowers with rich, green foliage that changes to a spectacular red in the fall. The Pink Dogwood Tree is adaptable to different soil types and adds a delicate color to your landscape. When this dogwood tree is younger the pink blooms are lighter in color, but as it ages the blooms become a darker pink. The Pink Dogwood Tree looks perfect paired with spring flowering bulbs planted underneath or nearby.

  • Includes one Pink Dogwood tree in a 2.929 gal. pot and detailed planting instructions
  • Flowering tree with large pink flowers and rich green foliage
  • Best grown in USDA Hardiness Zones 5-8
  • Plant in full or part sun; prefers moist well-drained soil; space dogwood trees 15 - 20 ft apart

Beautiful trees

So far so good. I bought 2 of these which already had some blooms on them. Got them both transplanted and one was looking a little sad for about a week, but now it’s leaves are perky again and they are both flourishing. Very happy with my purchase.

BEWARE! FULL OF WORMS, bought 4, one is DOA

I bought 4 of these online, did curbside pickup. They were out of stock at my local store, we so drove 45 minutes each way to get these. On arrival, the trees are dormant - I asked if they guarantee their plants, answer was no. I was assured multiple times that these plants were all alive. It is hard to tell, as there are no leaves, which is odd being that they should be in bloom this time of year. We decided to take a chance. Get them home, unload into the driveway. Water them well. Next day, our entire azalea tree is GONE, eaten up by caterpillars- they were crawling out of the dogwood pots (perhaps this is why the trees have NO LEAVES!) They are now all over our other plants. Never in the entire time that we have lived in this house did we have this problem. The caterpillars no doubt came from those half dead trees and are now devouring all of our established plants. Really disappointed in this purchase. I pray we caught this in time to prevent any more of our other landscaping from being damaged. These are apparently called bag worms, they live in the roots, and can wreak havoc on other trees as well. What a nightmare.

Never did much. No pink flowers. Disappointing.

I wanted a pink dogwood tree. I bought this in June 2023. It didn’t bloom the first year at all so the second year in 2024 I said something about it not blooming the right color but they said it was too late to return it. Now it is 2025 and I have two blooms and they are not pink.

Bought a pink Dogwood and it bloomed White!

I bought a pink dogwood tree from Pirtle Nursery - through Tractor Supply in the summer of 2023. It bloomed white in the spring of 2023 and I got in touch with Pirtle Nursery. They told me the problem would be fixed through Tractor Supply. I contacted Tractor Supply and they told me there was only a 30 day warranty! So there's no way I could have known I was sold a white dogwood tree instead of a pink dogwood tree because it didn't bloom till the following spring. I am very dissapointed. All my contacts with Tractor Supply have been useless.

Ordered pink, got white!

I ordered a pink dogwood tree. I picked it up and planted it. I got a white dogwood tree. I tried to exchange it at the nursery and they said I had to go through Tractor Supply. The tag on it even says pink dogwood.
