Q: Please stop selling these.. invasive, and hurtful to native flora.
a year ago1 Answer
- A: Please know the consumer’s concerns are taken into consideration. We meet the demands of the consumer/retailer. While some states have banned the sale of calleryana pear, most have not. As a nursery we believe most states eventually will and have slowed down production numbers that will eventually lead to a stop growth. This kind of ban takes time. Please be patient with growers, as our processes for growing are often 3-5 years of work planning ahead. Encourage your state representatives to look into this if your state is not one with a ban.
