I used a Petsafe collar for several years and was quite satisfied with it. Battery finally went dead so I bought a new one. Complete failure. The new one does not work on my 80 lb Lab and is almost impossible to remove.

I got this collar out of desperation because our very very stubborn and high-energy 5.5 month old rescued husky/lab mix was tormenting our very sweet cat and I needed something NOW instead of waiting for an online order to arrive. Beeping did nothing, vibration did nothing……I ended up needing to use the static shock on level 10 to get a response. She doesn’t yelp or act like she’s in pain, just like something got her attention. She still receives loads of positive reinforcement and is now a totally different dog within a couple of days. Now a verbal command or beeping is all it takes and she immediately quits and runs back to me. I don’t find it hard to use…though the directions weren’t super helpful and I had to google a couple of things. The initial charging did take about five hours, but since then we only have it on her when we need to and it charges at night when she’s sleeping and during the day when she’s kenneled and we haven’t had an issue. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

Difficult to work

It worked GREAT on me. My one year old Cane Corso puppy didn't feel a thing, however.
